Wow it has been way too long!!! Here's the latest! :).....ready.....

I live in Utah again. I work for a security company and after two weeks I was promoted to supervisor in the Accounts Receivable department. That alone has kept me very busy!! I love my job though! I also am still working on and making new jewelry, cards, and home decor....hopefully I'll have a website soon! The picture below is the reason I moved back to Utah....his name is Nathan Bradfield! He and I have been dating almost 6 months (happy anniversary to us on monday the 20th) I know I know he's so sexy it's ridiculous! :) haha!! He's a helicopter pilot and also has many other things he works on including a mutual love of photography! He is my best friend and supports me in everything I do and all my crazy ideas! He even buys me cool old windows and door frames so I can make fun things! If that's not love I don't know what is!!! :)

Enough sap! I'll post lots more pictures! We're going to Hawaii in less then a month to help Katie move and he's never been there so what better time then now! :)

So here is the before and after of my present to my mom for Mother's Day. I should just start teaching classes. Or advertising. I'm on etsy.com but I need to get the word out. Shoot me a comment or something if anyone has any ideas!! I had so much fun with this. It just popped into my head. So here is a fun idea if you have an old window! I'm actually working on a little bit different of a design for myself....(I saved the biggest window for myself....I know I know I'm horrible...hehe!!) Hope you all enjoy it!

Please ignore the mess but Dallin my younger brother is so funny!!! he was laying on the couch trying to hide from the puppy and she was so confused at why she couldn't find his face to lick....the reason.....he shoved it in between the couch cushions. I was cracking up!! Good times being with family again. How I've missed it. Don't take your family members for granted!!

Sorry it took me forever to update! I'm at home sick today from work so I'm updating this. This amazingly attractive man is Nathan Bradfield. Nate lives in Utah and we met thru a blind date literally 6 days before I moved back to Mesa, Arizona....just my luck. Lol. He is a photographer and is a hardworking, church going, kind, strong, creative, and caring great man. We started dating and now we travel to see eachother whenever we can. We both love photography and if you have a facebook that's why there are a bunch of new photographs of me....lol I now have my own personal photographer whether I like it or not. He's amazing and my best friend. We go on photoshoots all the time just for fun....so if you need a photographer in Utah or Arizona we'd love to help you out! lol. That's all for now I think without gushing all of the sappy details of how perfect for me he is!

Ok so everyone knows I love making and designing things! which good news ( for me anyway ) I have been doing pretty well with my booth at quilted bear! I am very excited! So in true Martha Stewart fashion I have decided to become a better, more rounded (....I meant that strictly in an experience 'rounded' way not my figure lol....) cook. I have been gathering recipes for a long time and finally took the plunge!

PF Chang's has AMAZING lettuce wraps that I've been craving so why not look into lettuce wrap recipe's and try it right?!! So that was my first brave attempt and cooking! OH MY GOODNESS YUMMY YUMMY!!! I'm including the recipe I found on one of my all time favorite websites and it calls for random Asian ingredients that I just found at Wal-mart. Go easy on the soy sauce it was a little salty so I am tweaking the next batch a bit but all and all a definite keeper for my little recipe tin! Enjoy!!! side note I cut out the sherry and the mushroom's and they were still very very yummy!!!! yummy yummy! lol

PF CHANGS LETTUCE WRAPS

Ingredients:

8 dried shiitake mushrooms

1 teaspoon cornstarch

2 teaspoons dry sherry

2 teaspoons water

salt and pepper

1-1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken, minced

5 tablespoons oil

1 teaspoon fresh minced ginger

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 green onions, minced

2 small dried chilis (optional)

1 8 oz. can bamboo shoots, minced

1 8 oz. can water chestnuts, minced

1 package cellophane Chinese rice noodles, fried in oil for a minute or two (until they puff up)

Cooking Sauce:

1 tablespoon Hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon dry sherry

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

2 tablespoons water

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon sugar

2 teaspoons cornstarch

Iceberg lettuce "cups" leaves OR

Bibb lettuce leaves or other leaf lettuce

Directions:

Cover mushrooms with boiling water, let stand 30 minutes then drain. Cut and discard woody stems. Mince mushrooms. Set aside. Mix all ingredients for cooking sauce in bowl, and set aside. In medium bowl, combine cornstarch, sherry, water, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and chicken. Stir to coat chicken thoroughly. Stir in 1 teaspoon oil and let sit 15 minutes to marinate. Heat wok or large skillet over medium high heat. Add 3 tablespoons oil, then add chicken and stir fry for about 3-4 minuts. Set aside. Add 2 tablespoons oil to pan. Add ginger, garlic, chilis (if desired), and onion; stir fry about a minute or so. Add mushrooms, bamboo shoots and water chestnuts; stir fry an additional 2 minutes. Return chicken to pan. Add mixed cooking sauce to pan. Cook until thickened. and hot. Break cooked cellophane noodles into small pieces, and cover bottom of serving dish with them. Then pour chicken mixture on top of noodles. Spoon into lettuce leaf and roll.

I now have a booth at the Quilted Bear!!! WOOOOOO HOOOOO!!! I'm so excited and terrified!!! I'll be posting stuff on here as well once i get my booth all set up. I'll be in serious need of opinions!!! Anyway.......sooooooo I'm at Home Depot getting shelving and some things for my booth and since I live in a College town of course there are A LOT of single guys working at Home Depot! I was asked if I needed any help at least a dozen times! And then I was also asked if I found everything I needed at least another dozen times!! CLASSIC! I picked up an awesome addition for my bathroom!! : ) I'm so funny! take care all!

Well I was planning on deleting my blog. but i never could figure it out! Oh well. Anyway update on me....first day of snow in utah!!! brrrr!!!! I've been working on so many different things! I have some of my crafts posted on Etsy.com. I'm posting pictures of stuff here! You all have probably seen all of it....sorry!! well not the latest thing I've posted because I just finished it saturday! It's probably my new favorite thing! Stay tuned for more fun crafty stuff! I'm still working full time and going to school. No fun stories about guys. This is one of the things I made for Katie's wedding reception. It fit right in next to the AWESOME guest book i made! haha!! It was sooooo much fun helping Kate 'crafty-up' the wedding! I was able to design and make the actual invitations, guest-book, and this table decoration. I also demanded that I get to take the engagement photos which are on my photo blog and some of the actual wedding shots! It was a blast!

I posted these photos on my photo blog but I love them so much I wanted to add them here as well. The City Scapes are in New York actually and I finally got around to enlarging the photos and framing them. I'm spoiled with plenty of artwork on my walls so let me know if anyone wants copies as well. I'm going out to the new Draper, Utah temple this weekend to take photos. My Dad has requested some pictures of the Salt Lake Temple so if any of you have requests let me know. I'll be in Arizona in a few weeks!

Memorial day tradition

Every Memorial day since I moved to Arizona....13 years....good grief....my Mom's side of the family gets together for a pancake breakfast and launching water balloons! It was a pain in the butt to get us kids up early...ha it's at 7am...that to me is sleeping in now! Well anyway I never realized how lucky I am to know and be close friends to my cousins and Aunts and Uncles. Most of my friends who check out this blog are my cousins and relatives. I love you all and am so thankful that my parents made the effort to get together with family so often! Here are some highlights of the weekend. Love you all!

Spring Break time! My room mate Lecsi and I came down to Az. Man it was hotter than Hades! It was still snowing in Utah when we left. We had fun hanging out down town old Main street with the statues and had fun hanging out by the pool pretty much all weekend! We went to a car show as well....oh what I wouldn't give to drive any one of those cars!!!! oh man!! I love the sound of a big block engine in a beautiful old car. : ) maybe one day I'll have one

The assignment was to take a song rythm and put it to art. I chose a song called pieces by the band Red. So....I get stuck in the airport on Christmas Eve for about 6 hours....I sit down next to a sleeping man....lol....I start reading my book when the guy started waking up. I felt bad for him all scrunched up on the airport chair. He started pretending to read a book and so then he asks me to watch his bag while he goes to get some coffee...and being the gentleman that he is he asks if he can get me anything. My first soccer game!!!! Hooray!!! It was sooooo much fun!!!! I've never been to a pro soccer game before. My friends are big fans so we all went! I got really ino the game even though I don't understand all the soccer rules! It was pretty dang cold! I never knew that soccer games could end in ties. We played the New York Red Bulls....good times! The final score was 1:1. GO REAL!!!!

Today is definately monday.....my day started at 4am for my first job till 11am. Then a break to clean my room and drop one of my roomies off at school. Back to work (second job) from 1pm to 6pm. currently I'm on a quick break because if I look at these certain forms I've been looking at for the last 3 hours i might bang my head on the keyboard causing a..a;slkure vapoeiurvq0-[2n3w84 reaction on the screen and that could be damaging to my face. lol. I am going to be in Arizona this weekend. I'm so excited to visit!! My daddy is turning the big 50 on October 1st!!!! crazy!!!! He probably doesn't want that announced but oh well. I love you Daddy!! Make sure all who have his number wish him a good one!

So it's very rare that I like pictures taken of me....That's why I decided to go into photography because being behind the camera is the best!!! Here's more picture overload!! : ) They are just the raw images because my edited photos show up with a wierd look. and the last one was taken by accident. I'm going out every weekend and finding new places to take pictures! The railroad ones were caught right before the train came!! : ) The first one is of a fire up in Provo canyon this past weekend. It was very sad and I'm sorry to say that some of the pictures I got were so awesome!!

Glass block frame & me!

I periodically....I'm pretty sure I spelt that right lol....get these random ideas for crafts I want to make. Ok maybe it's more often then naught! So here is one of the latest ideas that I had! It's a glass block frame! The best part of this was it was sooooooooo cheap to make! Being a poor...ok destitute college student cheap is my middle name! lol.....you all know what I mean! So I want some input, feedback, hatemail....something haha!!! More pictures to come of my message bottle crafts! They are so stinking cute and the best part is I recycled them! I'm doing my part to help the enviroment! hahahaha! And I realized I don't have a good picture up here of myself. So here you guys go! Mother's Day 2008 we visited my Grandma Farr's grave. Later that day we were going to my cousin's so logan was dressed in his boot camp ROTC uniform. We all miss Grandma Farr and this picture was so touching I had to add it to my blog. Even though Logan's a tough guy he still is a big softy on the inside. : )

So I am sooooo excited to start school again tomorrow! I am almost done with my Associates and will be done by December!!! Even if I have to take 8 classes in the fall semester lol! I am looking into an advertisment job that will get me out of my own personal hell. That's not swearing is it? hmmmmmm.....I'm over it! haha!! I'm single *cough no suprise there cough* and loving it! I've decided to just be happy! I'm moving back in with my parents which is stressing me out but in the long run having my family closer will be good and I'll be out of debt by the end of June!!! That in itself is worth it!! I'm so excited and Thank you Mars for helping and encouraging me always! I love you! You're an amazing mom and example to me! : ) And I have to get back to running reports so I'll update more later! : )

so funny story every time i eat the people at work give me crap about it! so I'm eating my delicious pizza and breadsticks today and my boss comes in and starts lecturing me that i'm unhealthy. I work at a CPA firm and his wife helps out during tax season and he tells me, "just wait till Sally sees you eating like that she'll really let you have it." I hope I don't lose my job when I tell her politely to shut up and don't watch me eat if she doesn't like what I eat! : )
